Sante Fe

Immortalized cinematically and celebrated worldwide as the chic and stylish center of the "Wild West", Santa Fe has had little trouble living up to its label as the "City Different." Founded in 1607, Santa Fe is the oldest capital city in the United States. Having served as the seat of a Native American congress, a Spanish province, a Mexican territory, a Confederate enclave during the Civil War, and as the capital of the United State's 47th state, Santa Fe is rich with history and cultural energy.

But outshining its sterling historical heritage is its affiliation with beauty and the arts. Home of the world-renowned Santa Fe Opera, and housing the third-largest art market in the United States (behind New York and Los Angeles), it is no wonder the city regularly ranks as one of America's top-ten tourist destinations. As a city sprinkled upon the rolling hills beneath the Sangre de Cristo mountains, Santa Fe is as charming in its cultural diversity as it is chic in its creativity.

Beyond the bustle of bartering among the shops and studios in the Governor's Plaza, and the creative communion chased on Canyon Road, Santa Fe is still a real western city- complete with its authentic big sky and wide open spaces.
